The Ondo state governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has reacted to a statement by the Ekiti state governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose that he brought about 150 policemen to Ekiti last Friday to perpetuate the gun attack in which four persons were injured.
Governor Akeredolu who spoke through the state commissioner for information Mr Yemi Olowolabi yesterday described the allegation as wicked and malicious.
According to him, at a press conference organised on Monday by the Ekiti State governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, through his Special Assistant on New Media and Public Communication, Lere Olayinka, he needlessly castigated the person of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) alleging that Governor Akeredolu brought no fewer than 150 policemen to Ado-Ekiti last Friday to perpetrate the gun attack in which about four persons, including an APC chieftain, Mr. Opeyemi Bamidele, were injured.
“The Ekiti State governor had equally repeated his hitherto baseless and punctured accusation that Governor Akeredolu had planned to use Ondo State’s two months’ allocation to fund the electioneering of the APC governorship candidate in Ekiti State.” Dr. Kayode Fayemi.
“Ordinarily, we would have ignored all the deliberate lies and falsehood, but we felt that we would not be fair to the unsuspecting larger members of the public if such lies were not debunked. “
