Gianfranco Zola has been linked with a role in Maurizio Sarri's backroom staff |
Gianfranco Zola says no decisions have been
made about his future, amid reports linking him to a possible return to
Chelsea to work under Maurizio Sarri.
Zola is rumoured to be in consideration for a role in Sarri's
backroom staff, with the former Napoli boss understood to be in
negotiation over a deal to take over at Stamford Bridge.
A source has told Sky Sports News that Sarri's agent has been in London to finalise a move,
after reports in Italy claimed Chelsea are set to pay £4.4m to release
Sarri from Napoli. With Antonio Conte still in charge, the Blues are not
commenting on the reports.
Zola, who made over 200 appearance for Chelsea, told SuperSport: "There is a lot of rumours about me at the moment and nothing has happened. And we'll see what happens in the future.
"I don't know. I was afraid you were going to ask me this. Really, I don't know.
