Unai Emery is confident Arsenal can start their season with a bang.
The Gunners boss will face a tough task in his first competitive game in charge, hosting Manchester City at the Emirates on August 12.
But Emery believes his side will be well equipped to take on the Premier League title holders.
"Everybody who is working at this club is working towards that game and we want to play a good game for everybody," Emery told a press conference during Arsenal's preseason tour of Singapore.
"It's a great rivalry and to start at Emirates Stadium against Manchester City is the first important focus for us. With all the energy of the players and the supporters, we know we can start the season with a big performance against a big team."
Before facing City, Arsenal will play Atletico Madrid and PSG in Singapore before facing Chelsea in Dublin at the beginning of August.
